How can overcome this situation?

now listen up everybody i finished my 10th recentlt but still result has not come. i want to learn guitar and enjoy with frnds...because i have 3 months off...my parents have no objection with guitar provided i start studying for enginnering but they are against my hanging out with frnds..i am not intersted in engineering instead i am intersted in music(more notably-nu metal like linkin park). How can i convince my parents that music is what i love and not engineering and how i can i get some more freedom from their side...i have never enjoyed much with frnds.
