Science Question.. parents getting mad I study late lol. Cmon easy 10 points!!!!!!?

Cells can't grow to large sizes because the volume of the cell grows much faster than its surface area. So the cell needs more enregy/nutrients/stuff but has less membrane for it to travel across. It'd die if it got too big. Which is one of the reasons for mitosis. Since cells can't become big the body creates more for it (the body) to grow over time. It's also used to replace the constant dieing off of old cells.
