What is the moral of the myth of Hades abducting Persephone?

I dont think it was as much a moral as it was a REASON that the seasons change. The Greeks was just trying to explain WHY the summer turns into the fall and then winter and then spring which brings summer. Persephone leaves Demeter in the Fall and stays in Hades during the winter and when the spring comes she starts her journey back to Demeter who brings about SUMMER when her daughter returns! I guess if you have to put a moral to it - a mothers sorrow when her daughter leaves home.
