My dog is a dalmation and i realy want a kitten but mum says she will kill it?? plz help?

I have a Dalmatian and a cat. They are great friends. I think the fact that my cat is not scared of my Dalmatian helps. If you do get a kitten it would be a good idea to get one which has been brought up with a dog so it is used to them.
