Is my friend gay?

My fraternity brother continually tries to convince everyone that he is gay. he makes ual comments, and refers to his "ual history" with men that he supposedly has had. Then, if you play along with his game, he acts scared and disgusted by your actions. is he actually gay, or does he do it for attention, or what's the deal?? I am confused!!
