Why do I need to seal my granite countertops?

Granite is a stone and stones and rock absorb water and any other liquid that may come in contact with the surface. Oil, grease or similar substances will stain the granite. And believe me the stain will be there for a very long time. They make some very easy to use sealers. I would use it. Regards, Dale
